2025 (January to December): Volvo Car USA sales contracted by 2.9% to 121,607 vehicles. Electrified vehicles, defined as vehicles with a fully electric or plug-in hybrid powertrain, declined 22.9 percent compared to 2024 and accounted for 27.2 percent of total U.S. sales for the year. However, sales of fully electric vehicles increased 91 percent compared to 2024, reflecting momentum in the company’s EX90 and EX30 models, although actual battery-electric vehicle sales numbers remained relatively low.

  • Volvo XC90: 40,217 vehicles sold in 2025, up 2 percent year over year, achieving the highest annual U.S. sales total in the model’s history.
  • Volvo XC60: 41,105 vehicles sold in 2025, up 6 percent year over year, making it the brand’s top-selling model in the United States and marking the second-best sales year for the XC60 following its record performance in 2021.
  • Volvo EX90: 3,913 vehicles sold in 2025, up 356 percent year over year.
  • Volvo EX30: 5,409 vehicles sold in 2025, up 2,154 percent year over year.
