Electric car sales remained dismally low in Germany in 2015. Plans by the federal government to allow electric cars and plug-in hybrids use bus lanes met with limited enthusiasm from local authorities that are less keen to allow fat cats in luxury hybrid SUVs and luxury saloons use lanes and facilities set aside for public transportation.
