Volkswagen remains the top-selling car brand in Germany during the first quarter or 2014 despite underperforming the broader market. The VW Golf remains Germany’s favorite car while nice models such as the VW XL1 are more important in PR than in actual sales numbers. At the Geneva Auto Salon 2014, the VW XL1, which delighted the show goers with its doors the year before, only allowed the minuscule boot to be opened.
