In full-year 2021, Audi of America increased sales in the USA to 196,038 cars — an increase of 5% over the 186,620 vehicles Audi sold in the US in 2020. However, Audi sales in the USA were still around 30,000 cars fewer than in 2018 and 2017. SUVs made the most gains with the Q5, Q3, and Q7 the most popular Audi models in the USA. Passenger cars are selling in increasingly lower numbers in the US with most Audi passenger cars selling in lower volume numbers in 2021 than in 2020. The most popular Audi passenger car models in the US were the Audi A5 and A4. Battery-electric cars — Audi’s e-tron model line — increased sales volume in the US in 2021 by 52%.
