In 2020, Audi of America car and SUV sales in the USA were 17% lower with the Q5 and Q7 the top-selling models. Q3 and e-tron gained the most.

In full-year 2020, Audi of America sales in the USA contracted by 17% to 186,620 vehicles. Traditional passenger car sales were sharply down while SUV sales held up better. Sales of the Audi Q3 small SUV nearly doubled.

Audi USA Highlights in 2020

The best-performing Audi model in the USA in 2020 was the Q3 that nearly doubled sales. It was the second most-popular Audi model in the US behind the larger Q5. Audi also increased sales of the electric SUV e-tron.

In 2020, SUVs had a 66% share of all new Audis sold in the USA. During the fourth quarter of 2020, the SUV share of all new Audis was at a record 74%.

Sales of traditional passenger cars continue to decline in the USA for all carmakers. Although sales of the the Audi A3 were down by only 5%, sales of the larger, and higher earning, A6 and A7 were down by more than 40%.
