2024 (January to December): BMW Group sales increased by only 0.5% in 2024 but BMW brand sales were up 2.5% to 371,346 vehicles for the second consecutive record year. Passenger car sales increased more than SUV or light truck sales in 2024. Battery-electric vehicle sales increased by 12.3% to a record 50.981 BEV deliveries. Mini sales were down by 21.5% to 26,299 cars. The BMW X5 was the best-selling BMW in the USA in 2024 while the BMW 4-Series was the most popular sedan car of BMW in the US.

With four fully electric BEV models on the US market, BMW set a new annual record for electric vehicle sales in the U.S., surpassing 50,000 units for the first time. For the full year 2024, BMW BEV sales increased by 12.3% to total sales of 50,981 vehicles compared to the 45,417 BEV vehicles sold in 2024.
The company sold an additional 19,398 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in 2024, bringing the total number of electrified vehicles sold in 2024 to 70,379, or 19% of total sales.
