In full-year 2021, Mazda increased global sales by 3.6% to 1,287,548 cars delivered worldwide. However, production of Mazda cars was 8.5% lower with supply-chain issues restricting car manufacturing worldwide for all carmakers. Exports of Mazda cars from Japan increased slightly in 2021 with North America and Europe the top destinations. The USA remained by far the most important market for Mazda cars. The most popular Mazda worldwide was again the CX-5 followed by the Mazda 3 and CX-30.
