In full-year 2023, Hyundai increased global car sales by nearly 7% with over 4.2 million vehicles delivered worldwide. The forecast for 2024 is only modest growth.
2023 (January to December): Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) announced total global sales of 4,216,680 vehicles — an increase of 6.9% over worldwide deliveries in 2022. Hyundai annual sales in South Korea increased by 10.6% to 762,077 vehicles while overseas sales reached 3,454,603 vehicles for a 6.2% increase.
For 2024, Hyundai forecasted global sales of 4.24 million vehicles, including its Genesis luxury brand. The somewhat modest target is largely due to an expected sharp decrease in sales in South Korea to only 704,000 vehicles while the target for overseas markets is 3.54 million vehicles.
