In full-year 2022, GM sales in the USA increased by 2.5% with GMC, Chevrolet, and Cadillac deliveries up but Buick weaker.
2022 (January to December): GM deliveries in the USA increased by 2.5% to return GM to the best-selling light vehicle (trucks, SUVs, cars) manufacturer in the States. GM also claimed to be the leader in pickups (9th straight year), full-size SUVs (48th straight year), and large luxury SUVs (Cadillac Escalade) for the 9th straight year). With the exception of Buick (-42%), all GM brands increased sales volumes in the USA in 2022: Cadillac (+14%), Chevrolet (+5.6%), and GMC (+7%). GM expects a positive 2023 with the total US light vehicle industry growing from 14.1 million to 15 million vehicles in 2023 as the availability of cars increases with fewer supply chain impacts.
